Job Summary: The Patient Care Assistant is an unlicensed, specially trained member of the Surgical Nursing Team who works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.  This position provides direct patient care for patients of all ages from pediatric to geriatric by assisting the surgical team, giving comfort measures for patients, maintaining a clean and organized environment and performing non-technical or clerical duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

Education:   One (1) year favorable work reference if employee has a work history.

Licenses / Certifications:  Must maintain current BCLS
