Position's Purpose and Essential Functions:

  • The Patient Registration/Admitting Lead will assist Supervisor/Director in daily operations.  In addition to the implementation of CHS policies and procedures that guide and support the services provided by Patient Access.  Maintains open communication with nursing and ancillary departments.
  • The Patient Registration/Admitting Lead must demonstrate effective communication skills when dealing with patients, physicians and hospital staff.  The Patient Registration/Admitting Lead is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of the patient registration process.
  • The Patient Registration/Admitting Lead will report to the Patient Access Director and Patient Access Supervisor.

Applicants Job Requirements Include:

Education

  • Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Medical Terminology. Bilingual in English and Spanish.                                                                                        

Experience

  • Required: 5+ Years admitting office/healthcare registration. 
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, billing policies, and Medicare.
  • Exceptional customer service and strong communication skills with analytical and problem solving skills.
