Job Description

Longview Regional Medical Center is currently hiring PRN RN Nights for the Labor and Delivery department. Job Duties:

  • Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care
  • Assists physicians during examinations and procedures
  • Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
  • Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills
  • Relies on experience and judgment to perform a variety of tasks and accomplish goals

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire
  • Approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NRP, and Stable certifications are required within 90 days of hire.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery required for PRN status
  • AWHONN or Advance Fetal Monitoring certification after a minimum of 6 months in L&D
