Lead Phlebotomist, Laboratory (FT, Days)

The Lead Phlebotomist promotes good public relations for the department and Tennova Healthcare while maintaining patient/customer confidentiality.  The Lead Phlebotomist is responsible for phlebotomy procedures, including collection of blood samples, blood cultures and clerical duties of the department.    The Lead Phlebotomist will assist management with daily operations over Phlebotomy, Processing, Histology, and Reference Lab.  The Lead Phlebotomist is responsible for recognizing problems that require referral to Section Leaders or Medical Technologists. 

Education/Experience:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Three years' experience as a phlebotomist in a hospital setting
• Phlebotomy Certification from a national certifying agency, preferred
