Completes all birth certificates.  Works all assigned task queues.   Assists with assembling patients health information for scanning prep. Maintains MPI. Rectifies missing documents and scans them into the chart. Performs daily validation/accuracy checks on scanned documents.  Back up to primary scanner who ensures medical charts and forms are picked up/transported from other departments after discharge. Ensures that medical charts and forms are properly identified and authenticated, scanning that information into the computer. Communicating with other health care professionals about necessary patient information to assure all is rectified after discharge for scanning into the patient's electronic medical record. Using computer programs to obtain accurate MRN and account numbers, scan patient documents into the record, validate and assure 100% accuracy rate and 24 hour turnaround time.  High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience required.
