Job Description

Occupational Therapist
Full-time, Days (Monday - Friday, 8a - 4:30p, rotating weekends, and holidays)

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an occupational therapy education program approved by the State Board of Occupational Therapy Education.
  • Licensed occupational therapist in the State of Pennsylvania.
  • BLS required and must be completed prior to the end of orientation period.

About the Job:

  • Provide patient care, consultative and educational occupational therapy services.  Collaborates with interdisciplinary health care team to improve patient outcomes.  
  • Evaluate, administer, and document occupational therapy services provided as prescribed by the referring practitioner; establish occupational therapy plan of care and goals; re-assess patient’s progress at appropriate time frames; complete documentation supporting the need for occupational therapy services. 
  • Preference for dealing directly with the therapeutic needs of handicapped individuals and for physical activity.  
  • Teach/instruct; clerical accuracy; accuracy of prescriptions and procedures; manual and finger dexterity and motor coordination; interpersonal skills.  
  • Treatment and discharge planning; safety conscious.
