Full-time, Days (rotating 8a-4:30p, 10:30a- 7p)

Requirements:

• Current registration with the Georgia Board of Pharmacy required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred.
• College-level courses are desirable but not required.
• Successful completion of a certified pharmacy technician training program is preferred. 
• Two or more years of experience in a hospital or health system is preferred.

About the Job:

Working under the direct supervision of the pharmacist(s), the pharmacy technician assists in all pharmacy operations' functions related to:  

• preparation & distribution of all doses of medication; 
• maintenance of drug inventories (e.g., re-stocking automated dispensing cabinets throughout the hospital, drug packaging/repackaging, extemporaneous compounding, code cart re-stock, etc); and, 
• completion of patients' records pertaining to drug therapy (aminoglycoside protocol orders, drug charges & credits etc).
