PRN Days

As a Respiratory Therapist, at Baldwin Health, you’ll play a vital role in doing what you do best - providing quality care to our patients. Our RT Staff enjoy flexible scheduling, etc.

• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Respiratory Therapist License issued by the State of Alabama
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Life Support (PALS) & Neonatal Life Support (NRP) Certifications Required 
• Must have strong Level 1 and/or Level 2 NICU experience

About the Job:

• Under the direction of Physicians and and Respiratory Director, perform all respiratory procedures in accordance with NBRC, State Regulations, and departmental policies.
• Recommend and implement appropriate respiratory care procedures and protocols based on observed abnormalities.
• Provides respiratory care to patients in acute, chronic, and emergency situations. Manages mechanical ventilation and artificial airways in critical and general care areas.
• Collects and analyzes arterial blood gases as well as administers aerosolized medications and other respiratory treatments.
• Initiates, monitors and manages patient’s oxygen through various devices including high flow nasal cannula and non-invasive positive pressure ventilation.
• Document patient care records in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.
