Job Description

The Clinical Systems Analyst Works collaboratively with physicians, physician offices, nurses, clinicians, departmental leadership, Quality, Patient Safety, Accreditation, and Information Systems staff to clarify needs, prioritize requests, recommend workflow enhancements, and execute change and adoption management of the EMR and other healthcare information technology (HIT) initiatives (i.e. Meaningful Use, Clinical Documentation, CPOE, and HIE). The Clinical Systems Analyst will assist in documenting current workflow processes, performing gap analysis, and identifying needed process changes to ensure compliance with the use of technology to optimize care delivery processes and effectively communicate patient care activities.

  • Bachelors Degree in information management, computer science, health informatics or nursing 
  • Three (3) or more years of clinical system implementation experience with a physician practice or an acute care clinical information system - multi-facility environment desirable
  • Knowledgeable in process, assessment and redesign; ability to document in Visio or similar tool
  • Experience with end-user-training : including the development of training materials (PowerPoint, demo scripts), agendas, schedules, and providing training to multiple clinical disciplines
  • Knowledge of computerized physician order entry workflows is desired
  • Basic knowledge/familiarity with Project Management methodologies is desired
