Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Performs ultrasound/diagnostic examinations of the heart to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disorders affecting circulation.
  • Records and maintains test data and prepares preliminary interpretations of test results.
  • Performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in applying ultrasound or diagnostic techniques for radiologic diagnosis.
  • Responsible for the safety and comfort of patients undergoing ultrasound/diagnostic procedures.
  • Ensures that all procedures have been appropriately ordered with satisfaction.
  • Typically reports to a physician or manager.
  • Responsible for Call Coverage at Bentonville and Siloam Springs campus

Key qualifications to be considered for this include:

  • Associate degree and graduate of an accredited program in Ultrasound Technology certification through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or graduate of a program accredited by an agency recognized by CHEA, USDOE or CMA that specifically conducts programmatic accreditation for diagnostic medical sonography/diagnostic cardiac sonography/vascular technology and eligible for registry.
  • Two years clinical experience performing echocardiogram procedures or equivalent experience.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification within first 90 days of hire
