• A clinically competent, registered, professional Sonographer who delivers care to the patient by performing a variety of procedures utilizing all aspects of the equipment.
• Will possess knowledge of accepted ultrasound principals and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served (i.e. Neonates to geriatric).
• Will provide patient care in accordance with MVRMC policies and procedures. Expected to provide a positive image of MVRMC and to be able to communicate effectively with patients, peers, physicians and visitors.

Education:

Required: Graduate of Certified School of Sonography 

Experience:

Required: One (1) year experience in hospital environment

Licenses/Certificates:

Required:  Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) - due by close of business on the last day of the month after 6 months of work

Required:  Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)

Required: Current license to practice as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in the State of New Mexico

Required: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) - Due by close of business on the last day of the month after two full months of work
