8 hour shift Monday -Friday with rotating Weekday and weekend call

0645-1515 M-F with rotating weekend and weekday call

As a CST, at Northwest Health, you’ll play a vital role in doing what you do best - providing quality care to our patients. Requirements:

• CST certification via NBSTSA 
• If graduated from an accredited surgical technology program or completion of a program provided by the US Armed Forces prior to 7/1/2009, CST certification may not be required. 
• Current BLS certification via AHA or ARC
• 30 minute call response time required 

About the Job:

•       Maintaining the sterile environment of the operating room until the patient is brought to the recovery room
•       Sterilizing the equipment and operating room
•       Helping with preparing the patient for surgery 
•       Gathering, counting, and arranging the equipment and surgical tools needed during the surgery
•       Preparing patients for the procedure
•       Keeping the operating room sterile
•       Passing surgical tools to the surgeon and the surgeon’s assistant
•       Assisting in retracting tissues from the surgical patient
•       Counting all of the tools and instruments used during the surgery
•       Applying dressings to surgical sites
•       Disposing of needles and gauze
