Ultrasound Tech / Sonographer

ShorePoint Health Free Standing Emergency Department (FSED) is located in vibrant Cape Coral Florida. The FSED serves a mix of high/low acuity patient volume, approximately 40-80 patients a day, open 24/7 and has Imaging and Lab services onsite.  Equipped with advanced medical technology, our FSED ensures that patients receive the best possible care. The facility is designed to handle a wide range of medical emergencies, from minor injuries to more critical conditions. Advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities enable us to make quick and accurate assessments, ensuring timely and effective care.

Full Time Schedule: M-F, 8 hour day shift, on-call required.

Requirements:

• Requires a two (2) year allied health degree. 
• Successful completion of an approved one (1)-year program in Ultrasound Technology, 
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a hospital setting.
• Able to work independently.
• Requires registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
• On-call required.

What You Will Do:

• Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. 
• Schedules and coordinates tests, records test results, and prepares and maintains operational logs. 
• Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed. 
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
