(Full Time, Remote)

As a Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our company’s Google Cloud Platform and Oracle database system. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the integrity, security, and optimal performance of the database. Your expertise will contribute to the smooth operation of critical business processes and data management. You will work closely with the Data Engineer and Reporting Analysts in helping develop and support the company’s data management and reporting needs.

As a Data Architect at Community Health Systems, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our purpose to help people get well and live healthier by providing safe, quality healthcare, building enduring relationships with our patients, and providing value for the people and communities we serve. Required:

  • Two (2) or more years of experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud
  • One (1) or more years of experience with Oracle Fusion API
  • One (1) or more years of experience with Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW) 
  • Data Modeling experience
  • Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) skills
  • Knowledge of database backup procedures, recovery systems, and SQL
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, etc. and APIs
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology or related field.


Preferred:

  • Google Suite
  • Experience with Looker Studio (or similar reporting tools and methodologies.)
  • Experience with Looker Platform
  • Data Warehousing (Cloud) experience

 

About the Opportunity:

  • Maintaining Oracle Database Software
    • Work with Oracle Cloud Services to maintain the database.
    • Ensure proper installation, patching, and upgrades.
  • User Account Management
    • Set up and manage user accounts, roles, and permissions.
    • Train users on accessing and utilizing the database.
  • Database Security
    • Implement security protocols to safeguard data.
    • Monitor access and permissions.
  • Backup and Recovery
    • Regularly backup the database to prevent data loss.
    • Develop recovery procedures and perform data restoration when needed.
  • Performance Tuning
    • Monitor database performance and identify bottlenecks.
    • Optimize queries and configurations.
  • Troubleshooting and Debugging
    • Investigate and resolve database-related issues.
    • Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot application performance.
  • Documentation
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.
