Examines heartbeat patterns on electrocardiograph monitors. Makes note of irregular rhythms and monitors changes in heartbeat. Ensures that monitors are functioning properly. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. High School diploma or equivalent. Associates degree preferred and at least 1 year of experience in the field. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Responsible for providing clerical support for all employees within an assigned nursing unit. Maintains and updates patients' records for a given unit. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. High school diploma with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
