Responsible for the delivery of patient care by applying skills and techniques common to the practice of vocational nursing.  The Licensed Practical Nurse functions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and performs tasks related to patient care.  

Job Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Program

Experience: Previous acute care experience preferred

Licenses/Certificates:

• Current licensure in the State of Indiana as a Licensed Practical Nurse in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act.
• Newly hired staff must have or obtain the following certifications within the following time frames:
• Initial BLS within 7 days of start date but no more than 30 days.
• Basic EKG class within 30 days of start date but no more than 90 days.
• Initial ALS and initial PALS within 90 days but no more than 6 months. 
• Certifications must be renewed per certification policy if already obtained.
