Job Description

Lead Medical Technologist
Full-time, day shift (7am - 3:30pm, every other weekend and rotating holidays)
$10,000 FOR STUDENT LOAN REPAYMENTS - FULL TIME

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology is required.
  • Prefers graduation from an accredited Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician program and passing a national exam given by the Board of Registry of the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). Acceptable certifying agencies also include: Health, Education, & Welfare (HEW).
  • Will consider candidates with a Bachelor's, Master’s, or Associate’s degree in a related field (biological or chemical sciences) and who are eligible for certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP).
  • Three (3) years Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Histology, or Blood Bank experience. 
  • Six years (6) laboratory experience.

About the Job:

  • Reports to Laboratory Director.
  • Coordinates the day to day operation of the Hematology, Coagulation and Urinalysis sections of a fast paced hospital laboratory.  
  • Works with other section charge techs in the laboratory to ensure quality standards are maintained.
